Teachley Fractions Prototype Research

Students tend to struggle tremendously in the area of fractions, making it an important area for intervention. In this study, 3rd-5th grade students played a prototype of Fractions Boost for five weeks. The researchers found that students gained significant skills in estimating single fractions on a number line after playing. With these games, students will gain an expansion of fractions knowledge that will give them the “boost” they need in all the aspects of fractions learning.
